CollegePrep Online uses a proven curriculum used by thousands of students to increase their SAT scores. Our lessons and worksheets focus on teaching students the main strategies and content covered on the test. The SAT is a test of patterns; the same types of questions are used on each test. We teach students the shortcuts and strategies needed to help them efficiently and effectively navigate this lengthy exam. In the Math Sections, students are taught how to maximize their graphing calculator’s capabilities to execute the main strategies. After covering the strategies and shortcuts, each content area is separated by topics identified on the SAT:
Each of these subtopics contains a lesson for students to review key topics, followed by a worksheet of 7-15 problems to practice their skills. All lessons and worksheets have step-by-step explanations and solutions for EVERY problem presented. Students will be able to compare their work with the solutions key to determine which misstep was taken, if any.
Most online programs have students working solely on their computer, reading questions and solving them by clicking next to the answer choice. While this sounds good, the reality is that the SAT is administered using paper and a pencil. We believe students should practice for the SAT as it is given: using paper and a pencil! All of our lessons and worksheets are available for students in a downloadable PDF form. We encourage students to draw pictures, circle key words and underline the question. This experience cannot be gained through programs available for on-screen use only. Our unique method mixes unlimited online access with the accurate administration of paper/pencil practice.
In addition to detailed lessons, worksheets and answer keys, each CollegePrep Online student is provided with The Official SAT Study Guide book by CollegeBoard, the publisher of the SAT. This book contains 10 full-length practice tests for students to complete using their newly mastered test strategies and shortcuts. Answer keys are provided in the book, but CollegePrep Online provides students with solutions/explanations for EVERY question on ALL 10 TESTS! Students are able to see the correct way to solve each problem using the shortest, most efficient process.
